Thematic area 

FIA achieves its organization objectives through its programs, projects, and activities. Its work lies in the following domains:

• Women Empowerment
• Basic Health service (RH/RMNHC and HIV/AIDS)
• Access and Quality of Education
• GBV/HTP and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA)
• Emergency and Humanitarian Response
• Environment Protection
• Peace Building and Conflict Resolution

 Strategies

All the above activities implemented through the strategies of Human Right Based Approach (HRBA));

•  looks at people/citizens/ as active participants who have rights rather than passive beneficiaries who have needs.
• One person can be both duty bearer and rights holder and  duty bearers need to be held accountable.
• Both duty bearers and rights holders need capacity strengthening for human rights to be fulfilled. Consider the rule of law is a key element for human rights to be fulfilled.

Approach

As first level of change, the FIA has adopted a Results-Based Management approach (RBM) to embrace the highest internationally recognized standards of management (“gold standard”) that focuses on performance and the achievement of results (outputs, outcomes and impacts).
