 Target Communities

FIA’s main targets are orphans, abandoned, HIV+ children and women, Elders, disable and youth. Our target especially includes support for young women. They are hardest hit by the HTP/GBV and HIV/AIDS issues in terms of incidence rate, maternal health, and shouldering the burden of care. As future mothers, young women also influence Ethiopia’s future family units and thus they are critical targets for developmental progress. FIA’s secondary targets are the people of great influence on Ethiopia’s women and youth, namely parents, peers, community groups, local Kebeles, and government policy makers. FIA continues operating on this premise to promote job readiness and leadership skill.
